AWARD-WINNING PIANIST XIAYIN WANG
MAKES HER HAWAII DEBUT THIS NOVEMBER
ON OAHU, KAUAI & THE BIG ISLAND

The brilliant young pianist Xiayin Wang will be touring the Hawai’ian Islands this November promoting her recent Naxos CD “Scriabin Piano Music”, which debuted on Billboard’s classical album chart. Ms. Wang is being presented by the University of Hawai’i, Manoa on Monday, November 16th at 7:30 p.m. at Orvis Auditorium. On Wednesday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m., the Kauai Concert Association will be presenting her in concert at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center. On the Big Island, Ms. Wang will be presented by the East Hawai’i Cultural Center in Hilo on Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Wang’s tour program includes works by Scriabin, Haydn, Piazzolla, Gershwin, Ravel and arrangements for piano of Chinese folk songs.

Ms. Wang an active advocate of arts education enjoys spreading awareness and appreciation for music to students and young people wherever she plays and whenever there’s an opportunity. Ms. Wang will be holding Master Classes at The University of Hawai’i, Manoa, The University of Hawai’i, Hilo and will take part in KCA's Education outreach.
